My name is Hannah Carroll and I have been in the wonderful world of school nutrition since becoming a registered dietitian. I am the former Newsletter Editor for the SNS DPG. I encourage prospective members and new members to get as involved as possible. Being a member of the Academy is so rewarding and a great way to stay connected with colleagues.
I currently live in Santa Barbara, CA and work as the nutrition director in Goleta, CA. I was formerly the director in Lompoc, CA, where we served 19 sites. My career in school nutrition started at Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia. I began my career as the nutrition education coordinator and then became a district supervisor for 13 of the 52 schools. My program experiences includes BIC, FFVP, SFSP, CACFP, NSLP, NSLP After School Snacks, CEP, and Universal Free Breakfast. I hope to use my experiences and passion to help teach and inspire interns.
